Mommy and Me CreekSide Portrait Session in the San Bernardino Mountains

There is something truly special about images featuring just mommy and her baby!  Women are the family's story tellers. They are the keepers of smells, the memory of scars, and they are typically the one's behind the camera documenting their babies and their families; Their phones bursting with images of smiles and firsts.  Beside the singular selfie where we tried in vane to be in the frame and get everyone else, we are absent from the memories, us mothers.  That is why women, mothers, value photography so much more than men.  Of course, men years down the road question why there are not more pictures, but usually it was them that proclaimed the cost was too great and was unwilling to give up a few nights at chili's instead of having Gorgeous Professional Imagery decorating the walls and making the house a home.  

So we moms have two jobs to do.  One, We have to stop griping about our weight and be willing to be in the picture and document who we are as mothers and wives and us!  We have to see us like our children see us.  Our Daughters grow up and look like us, and our sons are shown what real women look like and are rightfully worthy of love.  We are beautiful.  Stretch marks, kangaroo pouches, saggy breasts, and thinned hair, and gorgeous smiles, and loving eyes, and soft touches and magical kisses.  So, GET IN THE PICTURE! 

Second, we have to hide a $20 here and there, paint our own toe nails, and brew our own coffees, so husbands can not complain about the costs. Because our stash will help the budget and you can afford better imagery! Also, ladies, men have to bribed.  You know how to bribe your husband.  Get busy!  

Here is a lady I know and love, who choose to do a mom and me session with me.  I love her imagery and can not wait to show it off to you.  This mother will have beautiful images of the love she has for her son, and the way he loves her.  They are a gorgeous pair and hold a special place in my heart.

And these gorgeous images will hang in halls, in the living room, and will adorn dressers and night stands.  And it will forever encompass the memory of a little boy so small he was dwarfed by a stick, needed help to stand in the water and breastfed.  Soon he will be weaned.  He won't let his mom kiss him in public, he will throw rocks all on his own, and stand in water and refuse help of his mother; Because he will be a big boy and can do it all by himself.  But she will be able to look back and REMEMBER and RELIVE these very precious and fleeting moments.
