Baby boys are a gift. They are so sweet and special. Often times their newborn sets are plainer with less frills to make sure that they are not confused as baby girls. As a mother to four boys, I challenge this often. I like to create portraits with all the bells and whistles that a baby girl would have but that screams BOY! I love browns and wood and black on baby boys. As more and more parents choose to stay off the internet, I now struggle to show you my recent work. But this lovely family gave their blessings in sharing their portraits. I am so proud to show off this baby boy.
His theme- woodland. In their family they have a fox that is special. Mom reported that foxes seem to make their way into their home and even the family dog has fox like features. There were several stuffs brought in including 2 different foxes and a moose. On top of the stuffs that were brought in to the session, mother requested to have her son wear a red and plaid sleeper and a green sleeper in his portraits and wanted a Christmas image. So away to work we went!
Now, Big sister is not too big herself. She is 2 years old but tall for her age. She was an angel. A 2 year old angel. Which means she was so well behaved but had the attention span of a 2 year old. Our expectations of her had to stay realistic but she surprised us and gave us some amazing sibling portraits!
Look at that smile! And OMG That Hair! Baby brother is in the stroller.
And then this happened! The look of wonder on her gorgeous little face. I adore this timeless portrait in Black and white.

The perfectly timed close up outtake of this baby boy. I can't help but to smile as I enjoy this portrait so much! The perfect imperfections are what we hold dear.
And finally he started to fall asleep. And the green pops among the browns and this portrait has a very natural feel. Surely to make any room feel like home.
And then he smiled again. All comfortable and settled into that little box.
And then he yawned. A great big yawn. And he brought a smile to your heart with that yawn
And as if it wasn't enough cuteness already this baby decked in green with his sleeper hat on, smiled yet again.
And then he needed a cuddle the so moose came out. And he was placed back onto green shrubs and the woodland theme was there once again.
And he needed his fox. And so this gorgeous portrait was created.
And then he slept. Safe and warm.
