Maternity and Newborn Southern California Photographer

There were never great images taken of me when I was pregnant with all of my boys.  I never felt beautiful.  I always felt so big, so very unpretty.  My nose was bigger,  How does that happen? My hips got wider, my stomach was ginormous- I just felt so unpretty.  But you know I look at women who are pregnant and see nothing but beauty. I see life.  I see mother.  I see what I was but could never ever recognize in myself.  I wish with all of my heart I put on a gorgeous gown and showed off my belly with pride and confidence.  I wish it as much as I wish I had gotten professional images taken of my newborns that are not from Walmart.  I have Walmart photos of my newborns.  I have disposable camera images of my babies.  I have phones filled with images.  And then I worked my heart off and poured everything I have in myself to become a photographer.  Now I have gorgeous images of my children.

Don't live with my regrets.  Invest in your memories.  Invest in your life.  Invest in your beauty.  Let me be your photographer that captures your beauty.

Birth Photography of Baby Girl in Redlands by San Bernardino Photographer and Doula

My photography journey began in the labor and delivery room.  As a doula, I would pick up my clients phone or camera and snap pictures of my clients meeting their children for the first time.  Those images- I did not care what they looked like or how I captured them- I just wanted them to be able to look back on those photos and remember.  Remember the excitement, the labor, the happiness and pure joy they experienced when they held their baby for the first time.  After having a photographer watermark images I had taken, I decided that it was time for me to get my own camera.  My husband bought me my first canon- a camera that I quickly out grew.  I wanted to work on my imagery as I knew I needed to improve.  I started with my children, moved on to my friends children and now enjoy capturing for clients.

It is with great joy that I revisit my doula roots one to two times a year.  This year I doula'd my 22nd doula baby into the world.  It was an amazing and beautiful experience.  I have permission from the momma to share the images of her birth with you.  May they remind you of your own birth(s) and get you excited if you are expecting yourself.

This is my wow image.  I find it moving and just in awe of the scene that I witnessed.  That cord!

I believe this image shows the emotional side of birth.  The love pours out of you for this new soul you hold and lay claim to.

Grandma Cuts the Cord Birth Photography
She was quiet for a couple moments and made a brief contact with the camera.  She is striking.

Dad is in the military and he listened to the birth and received imagery through the phone.  I gave this mother every image that came from my camera so that they could look upon the birth with dad and relieve the memories and moments.

This look the look of pure joy and success.  She did it and she is strong.

A Mother's Love Birth Photography

And this image here- this is the look a mother makes when she really looks upon her newborn baby.  I see it every time.  This look of a mother's love.  She looks gorgeous doesn't she?

Thank you to the mommy for letting share her birth.

Thank you for taking a look.
